About The Position

Polytek Development Corp. is a leading manufacturer of mold making and casting materials. Polytek is currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and extremely organized individual to join our rapidly expanding company. This is a hands-on, safety-driven Maintenance Supervisor who leads our maintenance operations at a batch chemical manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement including all aspects of facility infrastructure (Experience in electrical, mechanical, pumps, hydraulic, and welding). The ideal candidate combines technical depth with leadership, CMMS fluency, and contractor oversight experience.

Requirements

  • Must be able to understand, speak, write and read English.
  • Able to operator forklift, scissor lift, (small lifts)
  • Post-secondary education in a technical field (college or trade school)
  • 10 years of related experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.

  • Building Security and Fire Suppression systems knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs across all plant assets
  • Implement, manage, and optimize CMMS (e.g., eMaint, Fiix, or similar) for work orders, asset tracking, and PM scheduling
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems including PLCs, motors, pumps, valves, instrumentation, and control panels
  • Champion plant safety culture and ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA,NFPA, and Polytek Standards
  • Maintain and audit LOTO procedures, confined space protocols, and roof hatch access safety
  • Support EHS initiatives and participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Provide handson support and guidance in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and welding disciplines
  • Interpret schematics, P&IDs, and equipment manuals to guide repairs and upgrades
  • Collaborate with engineering on process improvements and equipment modifications
  • Scope, budget, and execute CapEx projects including equipment installations and infrastructure upgrades
  • Manage external contractors and vendors for specialized services, ensuring safety and quality standards
  • Develop RFQs and support sourcing / cost optimization
  • Supervise maintenance technician(s) and foster a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous learning
  • Maintain clear documentation of maintenance activities, SOPs, and compliance records
  • Communicate effectively with operations, quality, and leadership teams to align priorities
  • Identify and complete building and/or grounds maintenance and upgrade projects with senior management approval if appropriate.
  • Keep outdoor areas clean, safe and unobstructed (i.e., free of snow or ice).
  • Report safety concerns immediately to your supervisor, the Plant Manager or Safety Committee Member.
  • Follow all rules set forth in Polytek's Employee Policy Manual.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
