Requirements

Certified in HVAC/EPA and other relevant fields.
3 or more years of proven experience in maintenance operations, preferably in multifamily housing.
Hands-on experience in maintenance, with expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.
A natural leader who can inspire and guide a team to deliver their best work.
Highly organized, able to juggle multiple priorities while staying focused on the big picture.
A problem-solver who thrives on finding practical solutions to challenges.
Takes pride in delivering excellent service and creating spaces residents are proud to call home.
Familiar with maintenance/property management software and comfortable using technology to streamline processes.
Flexible and ready to respond to after-hours or weekend emergencies as needed.

Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the property’s maintenance team to ensure timely and high-quality service.
Oversee all maintenance operations, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and property inspections.
Ensure all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are operating efficiently and safely.
Coordinate with the Property Manager to prioritize and address maintenance requests and projects.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracted work to ensure quality and timeliness.
Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment needed for maintenance tasks.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, promoting a culture of safety among your team.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations to protect residents and property.
Train, mentor, and develop your team to achieve their full potential.
Ensure apartment homes are made ready for upcoming new residents.
Perform snow and ice removal.
Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies.
Weekend work is required as needed.
