About The Position

JOB SUMMARY Develop and implement maintenance programs to enhance machine uptime, with a focus on both availability and reliability. Oversee the maintenance of the site building and facilities. Promote and sustain our safety program within a heavy industrial setting, with the objective of achieving and maintaining zero accidents through comprehensive safety initiatives. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership & Supervision Lead and supervise daily activities of the maintenance and facilities teams. Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to technicians and mechanics. Prioritize, assign, and monitor work orders, preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, and emergency repairs. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including contractor management, electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and PPE usage. Coordinate with production and engineering to schedule repairs and minimize downtime. Maintenance Engineering Oversee installation, repair, and preventive maintenance to enhance equipment availability and reliability. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and performance testing using voltmeters and other tools. Disassemble and reassemble complex equipment as needed. Manage operation and maintenance of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, air systems, etc.). Supervise building maintenance, utilities, landscaping, and janitorial services. Handle service requests, preventive maintenance, and vendor/contractor relationships. Perform regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Develop and manage purchasing strategies for facility-related needs. Support space planning, office relocations, and conference room setups. Submit capital planning and budgetary requests. Planning & Administration Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment status. Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase requests as needed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and efficiency. Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks aligned with operational goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering, or a related field, is preferred.
  • 5–10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance programs and reliability strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role is preferred.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related discipline is also preferred.
