About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in a dynamic food manufacturing environment, specifically within our bakery division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance management, exceptional troubleshooting abilities, and experience in food manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; GED
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance in manufacturing

Nice To Haves

  • Technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
  • 5 + years of experience in maintenance within the food manufacturing industry, with a focus on bakery operations preferred.
  • Proven experience managing a maintenance team and leading projects effectively.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable to manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance crew, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly, utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including logs of repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with production teams to understand equipment needs and ensure efficient operation of bakery processes.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and materials, ordering as necessary to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices within the maintenance department.
