About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor works closely with the Maintenance Manager and Safety Clerk to ensure all work orders are issued and completed efficiently and on time. This role collaborates with other departments to maintain equipment and facilities in proper working condition while ensuring compliance with GMP standards. The Maintenance Supervisor is also responsible for training and supporting technicians, resolving urgent maintenance issues, and helping achieve departmental goals and projects.

Requirements

  • Proficient in CMMS operation and maintenance planning.
  • Ability to train and mentor maintenance technicians.

  • Flexible to work various shifts and be on-call as needed.
  • Ability to follow and enforce safety and food safety standards (GMP, HACCP).
  • Minimum 5 years in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience in an industrial environment (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food manufacturing (preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Associate’s degree or higher required; or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • OSHA Certification 10 or higher is required
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, and pull to access and service equipment.
  • Must be able to visually inspect machinery.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and platforms up to three levels.
  • Able to work in noisy or confined spaces as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance technicians across all shifts.
  • Ensure technicians have the necessary tools and skills to perform their duties.
  • Manage work orders in coordination with the Maintenance and Safety Clerk.
  • Coordinate with vendors for repair support and technical guidance.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to support ongoing operations.
  • Oversee CMMS usage and provide user training.
  • Enforce Food Safety, Food Defense, and GMP compliance.
  • Develop SOPs, work permits, and conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
  • Lead and coach team members, providing support and resolving conflicts when needed.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Follow safety policies and collaborate with the Safety Manager to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Prepare incident reports and recommend preventive actions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
