About The Position

Huntsman is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in Ashtabula, Ohio (USA). This position will report to the Site Manager/Engineering Manager. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all mechanical and electrical maintenance operations at the Ashtabula site. This includes ensuring that all assets are maintained to meet regulatory compliance and company standards. The role involves supervising a team of technicians, managing maintenance scheduling in alignment with production requirements, ensuring mechanical integrity, and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering is preferred.
  • 8+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in production, engineering, and maintenance management.
  • Strong understanding of chemical plant equipment including pumps, valves, pressure vessels, electrical and control systems.
  • Proven ability to manage maintenance work and technical projects in line with business strategy.
  • Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

Nice To Haves

  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or CMRT certification.
  • Experience in chemical processing or related industries.
  • Familiarity with lubrication excellence and advanced predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 7 direct reports in the execution of corrective and preventative maintenance.
  • Oversee maintenance operations in compliance with EHS, EPA legislation, and company safety standards.
  • Allocate maintenance workload and prioritize tasks in coordination with production and supply chain teams.
  • Monitor and drive performance based on KPIs and maintenance best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records such as timecards, certifications, and equipment inspections.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and cost optimizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors for plant upgrades and maintenance projects.
  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure cost-effective use of maintenance resources.
  • Ensure the team maintains necessary training and qualifications.
  • Serve as a role model for safe behaviors and drive a zero-harm culture.
