The position involves overseeing, planning, and issuing work orders to appropriate shift team members for the implementation of equipment modifications, as well as preventative and corrective maintenance. The role requires coordination of repairs and maintenance activities with the production and scheduling departments as necessary. The individual will remain active on the floor, providing hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of production equipment. Additionally, the position enforces all plant rules, monitors attendance, and provides corrective action as necessary. Safety inspections of work areas will be conducted, and the individual will facilitate safety training to prevent, identify, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of safety procedures and rules. The role also includes preparing and submitting purchase requisitions for materials and supplies, interfacing with vendors and suppliers, and maintaining spare parts inventory as needed. The individual will foster a positive working environment and drive the Maintenance team to meet productivity targets and performance standards. Planning and coordinating the installation and removal of plant equipment is also a key responsibility. Ensuring that Maintenance employees are properly trained in all aspects of their jobs, including safety, quality, and production, is essential. The individual will serve as a back-up to the Maintenance Manager when they are unavailable and perform other duties as assigned.
