Conagra Brands is hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor on the 1st shift at our food manufacturing plant in Kent, WA. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance department, production lines, and affiliated equipment, as well as the building and grounds. This role involves scheduling work and personnel to meet production demands, maintaining the preventative maintenance system, and working towards meeting the plant's safety and uptime goals. The supervisor will also control maintenance expenses by managing overtime and parts expenses weekly.

  • Plan and schedule employees to control labor costs.
  • Monitor downtime occurrences to maintain operations.
  • Monitor the efficiencies of the production lines, paying special attention to maintenance and mechanical trends.
  • Train, motivate, and direct employees to follow safe work methods standards and food safety standards.
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with USDA officials.
  • Purchase supplies and repair parts with regard to quality.
  • Monitor machinery and equipment to ensure the safety of the team.
  • Enforce the plant's safety program ensuring compliance with all OSHA safety regulations and standards.
  • Maintain equipment for efficient operation within the maintenance budget.
  • Seek continuous improvement in the Maintenance Department and the efficiencies of the production lines.
  • Assume full ownership of predictive and preventive maintenance activities/programs.
  • Evaluate PM/PDM activities and frequencies to ensure optimum use of personnel and resources.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or other technical degree program.
  • 3 or more years of maintenance/supervisor experience.
