This position involves organizing schedules and assigning work to maintenance personnel, focusing on daily, monthly, semiannual, and annual rebuilds of production equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor collaborates closely with production management and maintenance staff to uphold the facility's standards, while also coaching and developing Maintenance Mechanics. A key aspect of this role is to identify and implement process optimization projects in a manner that prioritizes safety and environmental considerations. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing workers engaged in the maintenance and repair of various equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, fillers, and other packing and processing machinery. This role requires the creation, improvement, management, and expansion of preventative maintenance programs for plant equipment and facilities. The supervisor must model Glanbia's values, policies, and procedures, and coordinate activities with other supervisors to ensure efficient operations across departments. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor develops solutions to plant-related problems, conducts audits to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, and provides performance coaching to the maintenance team. Record-keeping is another essential function of this position, as the Maintenance Supervisor must maintain files, instruction manuals, and necessary parts and supplies for all plant equipment. The role also involves managing work orders within the inventory management system SAP, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently. Regular attendance is emphasized as a critical function of this position, and adherence to occupational safety and health standards is mandatory for all employees.
