Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial management, production operations management or equivalent field of study is preferred but not required.
  • 5 years+ Supervisory and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Food industry / baking industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Proven understanding of automation / PLC applications.
  • Basic mathematical and statistical skills.
  • Basic financial skills and understanding.
  • Key Leadership Competencies in addition to Ethics / Values and Integrity / Trust.

  • Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site technical team in the areas of equipment reliability, facilities maintenance, coordinated with the systems and controls engineering, planning and inventory management, and Plant project/process engineering.
  • Ensure positive employee relations in accordance with King's Hawaiian Operating Principles and Company Values.
  • Responsible for the development of personnel through effective training, succession planning, performance reviews and accountability in support of the People Strategy.
  • Ensure all employees follow industry and company standards related to health and safety guidelines.
  • Drive plant-wide preventative maintenance programs across all manufacturing functions.
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to set goals and monitor progress towards goals.
  • Develop and track KPIs (key Performance Indicators).
  • Responsible for keeping all the process and building equipment in operating condition to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production.
  • Collaborate with Operations personnel to ensure efficient production and minimize downtime.
  • Help in developing and improving preventive maintenance programs.
  • Lead spare parts inventory within budget and operational guidelines.
  • Ensure that work is accurately planned and scheduled.
  • Evaluate the Preventive Maintenance efficiency by analyzing maintenance costs and equipment downtime.
  • Develop and execute plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Confer with outside contractors to acquire service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Audit the chemical storage policy and procedures to ensure proper labeling and storage.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Enforce Federal, State, City and A.I.B. Health and Safety Standards, including OSHA (State and/or Federal) and Hazardous Material regulation.
  • Promote safety in the work area by understanding and following safety procedures and reporting all accidents in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that maintenance personnel follow all company policies, and carry out the safety program.
  • Assist direct reports and others, hands-on, as needed.
  • Responsible for Quality and Food Safety functions as assigned and outlined in Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program.
