Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience; multifamily preferred
  • 1+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
  • CPO and HVAC certifications preferred (or willing to obtain)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, team members, and vendors
  • Strong technical skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in preventive maintenance systems and vendor coordination
  • Computer proficiency, Yardi preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work overtime, evenings, weekends, or holidays as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the on-site maintenance team, including training, scheduling, and coaching
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, preventive programs, and emergency/on-call response
  • Coordinate unit turns, repairs, vendor work, and capital or seasonal projects
  • Monitor inventory, tools, and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and PRG standards
  • Manage maintenance records, work orders, and budget oversight in partnership with Property Manager
  • Ensure the property’s physical condition is maintained to high safety and curb appeal standards
  • Serve as point of contact for inspections, code compliance, and contractor performance
