About The Position

Oversees and performs technical and mechanical work that ensures the inside and external buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the community meet the Company's standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. The position involves assisting and completing work orders generated from resident requests for service, as well as routine upkeep on the community by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem, and making repairs in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements. The role also includes overseeing the 'make-ready' process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins, developing standards for cleanliness and overall appearance of the community, inspecting work performed by service team members and contractors, maintaining inventory of spare parts, completing monthly preventative maintenance procedures, and conducting safety meetings.

Requirements

  • Experience in property maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory experience in a maintenance role.
  • Familiarity with property management software.
  • Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical work.
