About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor - COLD is responsible for prioritizing work orders and scheduling mechanics based on the immediacy and necessity of the orders. This role involves monitoring all production areas to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and machinery. The supervisor will perform skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing, and hydraulics. Additionally, they will adjust, repair, and replace electrical and electronic equipment. Participation in the HAZMAT team is required to ensure preparedness for emergency situations. The supervisor will promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance and arrange for the completion of required paperwork, such as payroll. Attendance at scheduled or called meetings is also expected. The position requires a focus on food safety and safety-minded practices.

Requirements

• Work 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plant.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form in English.
• Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and practices used in the building, mechanical, and electrical trades.
• Previous mechanical and related experience required.
• Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
