About The Position

The Maintenance Superintendent will live on-site at Lafayette House, a multifamily residential apartment community in Trenton, NJ, and will be responsible for all maintenance and unit turnover tasks. This role requires a licensed professional to ensure the property is well-maintained and to respond to tenant service requests promptly.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience at a multi-family property required.
• Strong skills in carpentry, tiling, electrical, plumbing, and appliances.
• Black Seal Boiler License required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

• Live on-site and provide 24/7 emergency on-call service.
• Respond to all maintenance service requests from tenants, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
• Perform all 'make ready' tasks to prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including repairs and cleaning.
• Maintain meticulous upkeep of common areas, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, parking lots, and other community grounds.
• Conduct painting and sheetrock repairs.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks to all common areas and units.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and other common areas daily to ensure excellent curb appeal.
• Communicate and interact with staff and tenants in a courteous and professional manner.
