  • Manages repair and maintenance of manufacturing facilities and equipment including installing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electronic equipment, tools, and instruments.
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing facilities infrastructure.
  • Making/machining replacement tools and parts for manufacturing operations.
  • Planning and prioritizing work orders and scheduling overall repair and maintenance activities to minimize production downtime and disruptions.
  • Directing, leveraging, and guiding the work of others, and mobilizing resources.
  • Monitoring and achievement of operational and/or financial results for their area of responsibility.
  • People management actions such as hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees.
  • Managing subordinate management and/or experienced specialist employees who exercise significant latitude and independence.
  • Allocating resources to align with business objectives and annual business plans.
  • Working on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Solving complex problems leveraging resources within or outside the organization.
  • Implementing strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Establishing operating policies and procedures that affect departments and subordinate sections and work units.
  • Interpreting company-wide policies and procedures.
  • Developing and assuring adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
  • Interacting frequently with internal and external leadership and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications.
  • Leading briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of related work experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environments required in lieu of degree.
  • The candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
