About The Position

Performs machine repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance. Provides support to Manufacturing and Die Cast in producing high quality finished goods that meet or exceed our customer’s specification. First Responder. Hourly Rate: $27.26 ($1 shift premium if applicable)

Requirements

  • 2 years prior Maintenance experience.
  • Industrial Maintenance Certification.
  • Communication Skills – ability to read or listen & comprehend and write & present information in English.
  • Mathematical Skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Reasoning Ability – ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Maintenance Shop Equipment.
  • Facilities Equipment.
  • Maintenance Computers.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Hand Tools.
  • Arc Flash Training.
  • Aerial Lift Training.
  • Crane Training.
  • Forklift Training.
  • LOTO Training.
  • Training at Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT).
  • Maintenance Training, as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime is an essential function of the position.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Regular and punctual attendance is required.
  • Flexible to work in any area of the operation.
  • Willing and able to work any shift.
  • Must be able to comprehend English and follow direction from JTEKT team leader, supervisor and/or manager.
  • Must perform all instructions as listed in the Job Element.
  • Follow standard work as described in the Job Elements for each operation.
  • Inspect all safety equipment prior to use.
  • Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
  • Perform preventative maintenance.
  • Acquire knowledge and ability to make electrical and mechanical repairs to JTEKT equipment, use maintenance shop equipment, hand tools and computers.
  • Project a positive outlook in conversation and conduct.
  • Able to work in a fast paced team environment without direct supervision.
  • Able to achieve forklift certification and drive proficiently, as determined is needed by our business demands.
  • Must complete First Responder Training (including First Aid, CPR and Blood-borne Pathogens).
  • May perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
