About The Position

LabCorp is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Englewood, CO . Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm This position will require driving between Englewood and Lakewood on occasion Job Responsibilities Performs specialized maintenance and/or repairs, i.e., electrical installations, HVAC, general carpentry, and plumbing. Assists in maintenance of all F acility equipment, i.e., Fire Sprinkler, air handlers. Organize and complete annual fire evacuation drill Test eye wash and eye showers weekly Review all department safety walks for accuracy and completeness. Follow up with supervisor for out of compliance items and employee non-compliance. Maintain SDS inventory (additions and deletions given to EHS Manager to update 3E) Maintain the display case with work-related safety documents Check that the sign off on Regulated Medical Waste logs is complete Perform and maintain records for noise testing, ergonomic testing, glove ac com modations Serves as work leader to coordinate workflow Submits electronic work orders where appropriate Directs work of contracted sub-contractor Performs specialized maintenance service of machinery/equipment or repairs electrical installations, carpentry, refrigeration and /or painting Research, troubleshoot, and resolve problems related to repairs of facility equipment Provide guidance to requested work orders and handle complex maintenance problems. Keeps leadership informed of progress, problems, and any factors affecting assigned work Maintain files and records as required by the department, company, and various regulatory agencies Maintains open lines of communication with department staff At Labcorp we have a pas sion in hel ping people live happy and healthy lives. Requirements

  • High School diplomas or equivalent
  • 6 months experience in the Building or Maintenance Trade
  • Basic computer and data entry skills; Excel
  • Experience with electrical installations, carpentry, refrigeration and painting
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and oral
  • Able to pass color vision test
  • Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs.
  • Have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Be at least 21 years’ old

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC and/or Electrical Certifications
  • Degree from a trade school
