About The Position

Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world! Responsibilities: Automation & Controls Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen Bradley / Siemens) to ensure efficient machine operation. Perform diagnostics on control circuits, sensors, and communication networks; implement corrective actions with minimal supervision. Maintain and back up PLC programs and related documentation; assist in control upgrades and integration of new equipment. Electrical & Mechanical Systems Independently perform advanced electrical wiring and troubleshooting for 24V, 110V, 220V, and 480V systems, ensuring compliance with NEC and NFPA 70E standards. Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including short circuits, grounding issues, and component failures, minimizing downtime. Execute PMs and rebuilds on motors, drives, and servo systems, maintaining alignment, calibration, and motor performance. Robotics & Automation Equipment Write, modify, and optimize programs for robots including calibration and system integration with PLCs, sensors, and vision systems. Perform robot PMs including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and calibration; ensure motion paths and tool offsets meet production accuracy requirements. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults on robots to minimize cycle loss and improve repeatability. Press and Production Equipment Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on Rubber Presses (Rep/LWB) and similar hydraulic or servo-driven machines. Calibrate temperature, pressure, and motion profiles to maintain process control and quality standards. Identify and replace faulty sensors, valves, or heating elements; verify system operation post-maintenance. Vision & Quality Systems Troubleshoot and adjust vision systems used in inspection and automation processes. Support program adjustments and calibration to maintain detection accuracy and reject control. Assist with system integration between vision, robotics, and PLC controls. Technical Documentation & Compliance Accurately document wiring changes, program modifications, PM results, and repair actions in CMMS. Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout, arc-flash, and electrical PPE protocols per NFPA 70E. Maintain compliance with all company policies, maintenance procedures, and regulatory standards. Leadership & Continuous Improvement Provide mentorship to maintenance technicians through on-the-job training and troubleshooting guidance. Participate in continuous improvement projects targeting OEE, scrap reduction, and equipment reliability. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering to implement process improvements. Qualifications: Education / Experience: Technical degree, industrial maintenance certification, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or automation support, preferably within automotive manufacturing. Requirements

  • Technical degree, industrial maintenance certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or automation support, preferably within automotive manufacturing.
