About The Position

The Maintenance Specialist in Building Operations at ONE Gas is responsible for performing specialized work related to the operation, maintenance, repair, and construction of the company's facilities. This role involves inspecting and maintaining office spaces, ensuring safety compliance, and overseeing contractors and service providers. The position requires a strong understanding of building systems and construction methods, along with effective communication and leadership skills.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance or construction.
• Working knowledge of planning, design, and methods of office construction.
• Experience developing construction schedules and monitoring compliance.
• Knowledge of ADA construction building requirements.
• Strong communication skills and customer relations experience.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Experience using tools and equipment applicable to building cabinetry.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and delegate work assignments.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with facility management software.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient building practices.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform maintenance and alterations of new and/or existing office space.
• Analyze, research, and evaluate information including building plans, cost estimates, specifications, products, and materials.
• Oversee safety requirements and code compliance for buildings.
• Perform facility inspections and provide information and assistance to contractors and service providers.
• Maintain various systems including office furniture, HVAC, security, lighting, plumbing, and interior finishes.
• Set up assigned meeting rooms and manage printing and binding of print orders.
• Deliver interoffice mail to remote facilities.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
