About The Position

As the Maintenance Shift Technician, you will perform maintenance related tasks as required to ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical and mechanical equipment.  The position is a senior craftsman level job and will involve shift work.   I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?    Support ESH Compliance Use PPE Follow plant safety procedures / use proper permits Complete all regulatory ES&H training Hoisting and rigging of equipment Successfully complete RCRA introductory/orientation training Successfully complete RCRA annual refresher training Potential RCRA responsibilities: Inspect RCRA waste storage areas Safely operate hazardous waste equipment and/or processesSafely package, label, store, load and ship hazardous wastes Ensure that hazardous waste manifest and documentation requirements are met Respond to hazardous waste incidents and notify proper authoritiesMaintain equipment associated with hazardous waste management Operations personnel must successfully demonstrate and document hazardous waste qualifications upon completion of on-the-job training Must be able to safely exit the plant in the event of an emergency Communications Communicate with operating personnel Enter emergency work orders on off shifts Use email Provide feedback on work orders and PM tickets Use technical manuals, blue prints, engineering sketches as required Act as maintenance representative on plant projects May assist or be guided by another mechanic when on a specific job Electrical Responsibilities Understand electrical knowledge – 480 volt and lower Knowledge of circuits, wiring, controls and loop drawings Must be able to use common electrical tools Understanding of electric motors and motor systems Ability to interpret P&ID drawings Basic instrumentation such as level, flow, temperature and PLCs Repair and New Construction Basic mechanical knowledge Understanding of mechanical drives Install new piping – screwed  Perform installation or repair of mechanical conveying Operate maintenance equipment Knowledge of centrifugal pumps Look up and check out parts in storeroom  Complete all job responsibilities assigned in a timely manner Quality Control Follow maintenance procedures Develop understanding of material construction Prevent product contamination through good manufacturing practices Complete housekeeping in assigned areas keeping with ISO/AIB standards Follow cGMP requirements for the area General Plant Responsibilities  Maintain housekeeping standards Access documentation through plant document management system Put in time using payroll software Access plant email system to check communications and shift notes Complete all required training courses Assist in the training of new maintenance personnel

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience of dual craft experience
  • Successful completion of Mechanical and Electrical Selection Process

Responsibilities
