About The Position

The position involves coordinating maintenance and set-up activities while ensuring product safety and quality. The role requires recognizing and anticipating potential machine mechanical and process issues, maintaining equipment through a preventative maintenance program, and assisting in the development of maintenance programs. The candidate will provide support for various departments, participate in training development, enforce safety regulations, and maintain effective communication. The job requires the ability to work unsupervised, multitask, and manage projects effectively.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• General knowledge of blow molding machinery and processing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical background.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
• Cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Nice To Haves

• Related Engineering degree.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience with advanced knowledge of industrial electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of maintenance and set-up efforts.
• Recognize and anticipate potential machine mechanical and process issues.
• Maintain equipment through a preventative maintenance program.
• Assist in the development of preventative maintenance written and electronic programs.
• Provide support for Engineering, Process Engineering, and production departments.
• Actively participate and develop training for new equipment and machine repair.
• Enforce Silgan safety regulations and ensure high standards in housekeeping.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Work unsupervised and organize staff in a safe and efficient manner.
• Multitask and organize work through priority lists.
• Demonstrate good project management skills.
• Utilize good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Emaint.
• Be willing and able to work off shifts and weekends.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
