About The Position

The position involves 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 6:45 am to approximately 6:15 pm, and 6 hours on Monday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, totaling 30 hours a week. The role is responsible for the care and maintenance of multiple buildings and grounds in New Hartford and Utica.

Requirements

• Graduated from High School or completed GED requirements.
• Good driving history with a valid New York State driver's license.
• Willingness to submit to a background check.
• Mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Act as courier service if needed.
• Provide evening security coverage when requested by the Facilities Services Manager.
• Cover weekend shifts and evening maintenance worker duties.
• Pick-up bio-hazardous waste and autoclave instruments.
• Open/close the building and prepare for the next day's business.
• Clear snow/ice and salt entrances/sidewalks during winter months.
• Make rounds throughout the building to ensure safety and security.
• Escort employees with daily cash to the safe and to their cars if requested.
• Maintain a sign in/out log of anyone in the building.
• Inspect packages entering or leaving the facility.
