About The Position

Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products. The Maintenance Scheduler is a member of the Engineering, Maintenance and Site Services (EMSS) team providing support to the Durham sites. This includes Energy Center, Vaccines Manufacturing and Bulk Facilities (B101, B102, B130, B150 and B160), Quality Labs, Maintenance and Material Storage Facility (MMSF) and Teknika Facilities. This support position will focus on scheduling maintenance execution, SAP Data stewardship and assisting with successful shutdown planning and implementation with associated department(s).

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years' in a production and/or calibration and/or maintenance environment
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and time management skills
  • Experience with SAP, Maximo or another computerized maintenance management system
  • Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance tools and applications.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements in accordance with cGMP manufacturing operations
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with GMP compliant calibration and maintenance databases
  • Project management experience including change control and equipment qualification

Nice To Haves

  • Eight (8) years of maintenance planning/scheduling or related experience within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience working in a clean room or GMP/regulated manufacturing environment
  • Fluent with SAP, Maximo or another computerized maintenance management system
  • Certified Maintenance Professional (CMRP, CRL, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve the Corrective Maintenance Work Order processes
  • Lead the scheduling activities for equipment and instruments to be sent to off-site vendors or coordinate on-site services with vendors
  • Support departmental shutdown meetings. Attends site daily shutdown meetings ensuring department owned activities are tracked and completed
  • Maintain financial, parts, and work orders metrics
  • Lead the Due Date Deviation (DDD), Out of Tolerance (OOT), and Engineering Change Request (ECR) activities
  • Ensure an effective scheduling process execution. (Look-ahead, WOs generation and print, incursions, date availability, WO archiving, and performance metrics.)
  • Work alongside operations and lean six sigma team members to develop reliable, consistent manufacturing processes that meet cGMP requirements
  • Support safety programs (LOTO, HECP, etc.) and environmental compliance from a maintenance perspective
  • Collaborates with the production schedulers to maintain equipment by the due date
