About The Position

The position is responsible for managing the planning and scheduling of preventative, predictive, and corrective tasks within the maintenance department. This role involves overseeing spare parts management, maintaining documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. The individual will also serve as a technical resource for maintenance supervisors and coordinate with outside contractors as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mechanical comprehension.

Nice To Haves

  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years in manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment with a background in planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all spare parts management including kit building and warehousing satellite storage.
  • Update and maintain CMMS documentation including drawing attachments, lock out tag outs, spare parts codes, and critical tasks.
  • Plan and schedule down days and outages, including all material and labor.
  • Hire, counsel, discipline, and terminate employees when appropriate.
  • Manage environmental and safety recordkeeping utilizing CMMS.
  • Serve as a technical resource for maintenance supervisors, generating CMMS reports, drawing revisions, inventory requests, and monthly cost reports.
  • Manage and update SAP information related to maintenance, including equipment table and PM task revisions.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors to supplement workforce when required.
  • Maintain maintenance reports, including costs and delay reports.
  • Review daily electrical and mechanical equipment inspections to ensure necessary follow-up work orders/request are created and completed.
  • Ensure 5S compliance within the area of responsibility.
  • Review and evaluate equipment delays and develop corrective action plans, participating in Continuous Improvement Teams (CITs).
  • Maintain the maintenance budget in the area of responsibility.
  • Meet with operating personnel daily to ensure all work requests are being met.
  • Send out equipment for repair and generate requisitions and quotes.
