About The Position

This position is responsible for conversion of the Bills of Materials provided by the machine assembler into part specifications, descriptions, and enriched data for use in the Computerized Maintenance Management System for future procurement and building of Bills of Materials within the CMMS system. Resolve duplicates and incomplete part number and descriptions encountered during the cleaning process.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of maintenance or machine design, component specification experience beneficial
• Broad understanding of machine components, including sensors and other controls components
• Familiarity with SAP
• Organized, able to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong detail orientation

Responsibilities

• Extract content from the provided PDF file Bills of Materials and input to the Sparetech BOM tools
• Review matches, reconcile potential matches
• Process new MRO masters for creation of new SAP materials with enriched data, descriptions - resolve incomplete part numbers, unclear technical specifications, etc.
• Work with site buyer to find NA alternatives to parts, where practical
• Resolve and consolidate duplicate parts identified
• Field confirm BOM documents provided by vendor and prepare load template for CMMS system tying equipment to standardized MRO components
