About The Position

As a Maintenance Representative at IHG Army Hotels, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel by performing various maintenance tasks. Your responsibilities will include repairing and refurbishing items in guest rooms, maintaining safety standards, and providing excellent service to guests. This entry-level position requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Requirements

• At least one year of maintenance or repair work experience.
• High school diploma or related vocational training.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and building management programs like HotSos, Opera, Lutron, Bartech, or Inncom.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics, and preventative maintenance procedures.
• CPO certification if the hotel has a pool.
• Ability to be on your feet most of the day and perform physical tasks such as bending and kneeling.
• Fluency in the local language and compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Pool Operator license (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish items in guest rooms.
• Organize supplies and ensure equipment is ready for the next day.
• Follow safety standards and report any incidents or unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
• Maintain the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel, including the car park and pool.
• Monitor and follow the preventative maintenance calendar to keep everything working efficiently.
• Assist guests with a friendly demeanor and provide help as needed.
• Communicate with your supervisor about low running supplies and other needs.
• Maintain a professional appearance in uniform and be ready to take on extra duties.
