About The Position

This position will perform logistics duties under the Assistant Logistics Manager in the main warehouse. The ability to help maintain and deliver inventory items is necessary. This position will be required to use a forklift, pallet jack, lift items and drive a box truck. General repairs to equipment appliances and furniture will be part of the position. Working closely with the Assistant Logistics Manager to maintain our inventory for the Department is necessary. 40% Employee maintains furniture and equipment employing basic skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical and related fields. Additionally, custodial duties basic road maintenance such as cleaning drainage, filling potholes, placements of signs, removing shrubbery and repairing fences. 20% Employee maintains accurate inventory information of all large appliances (stoves, refrigerators, and A/C's) stored in warehouse and logs in and out each unit as necessary for use, repair or scrap. Employees maintain inventory of products used daily, including tools, filters, cleaning supplies, as well as maintenance inventory used for work orders submitted by residents. Duties in working with Assistant Manager and Logistics Manager include day to day operations of maintenance inventory, logistical operations, asset management, furniture repair and campus wide deliveries as needed. 20% Employee works in the logistics area and warehouse management with the Assistant Manager and Logistics Manager to help with inventory management and delivery. Collaboration is important and attention to detail in order to move equipment supplies and furniture to assigned locations. Daily reports and work orders are to be completed in accordance with the KPI assigned, and inventory information recorded in the CMMS. 10% Employee starts and checks for the safety and maintenance of a wide variety of hand tools, pumps, blowers and pressure washers. Also maintains and makes minor repairs to appliances, pumps, trucks, tractors and gas powered off the road vehicles such s (GATORS/POLARIS) including fluid levels. Employee escorts contractor and the Fire Marshal to grant access to units when inspections or outside vendor services are needed via contract. 5% Employees are authorized to use the Residential Life sub master keys as part of their daily duties. During the inspection, employees also attend to minor immediate maintenance duties and ensure correct inventory control on large appliances. Employee is also responsible for upkeep and cleanliness of the Residential Life Warehouse. 5% Other duties as assigned by Assistant Manager and Logistics Manager.

Requirements

  • One year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
  • Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.
  • Class E driver's license
