What you’ll do at DBH : Performs skilled & semi-skilled maintenance Minor installations and repairs Carpentry Work Assists in or performs minor painting Operates machine tools and welding equipment Assist in repair and maintenance of interior and exterior equipment Performs minor vehicle repairs and maintenance Complete and maintain work related documentation This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union) , with a pay range of #5 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule . Normal working hours are 12\:00 pm - 8\:30 pm., every other weekend. This position is located at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare, 1756 Sagamore Road, Northfield, Ohio . Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter. Additional Salary / Appointment Information: Pay Increase of 3% July 2026. Longevity supplement after 5 years of service. Requirements

  • Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary
  • 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in maintenance repair work (e.g., basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, masonry repair & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment)
  • in Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry only, applicants must have successfully completed the mandated basic firefighter/introduction to fire behavior course (S-130/S-190)
  • in accordance with section 124.11 (B) (2) of revised code, Director Of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination
  • Valid commercial driver's license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required, but not for the mandated licensure
  • Facilities Maintenance & Inspection
