Join Oshkosh Aerotech as a Maintenance Repair Technician (MRT), where you'll be essential in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing PLC-controlled conveyor and baggage systems (BHS). This role requires mechanical and electrical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various equipment to ensure airport operations run efficiently. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate closely with team members, and actively contribute to maintaining safety and operational excellence.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary airport security clearances.
- 1-2 years' maintenance experience
- Basic mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair skills
- Ability to work varying shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with 480V and 3-phase motors.
- Familiarity with Airport operations.
- Intermediateâ¯understanding of PLC Control systems
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, and CMMS software.
Responsibilities
- Maintain PLC-controlled baggage and conveyor systems to ensure smooth airport operations.
- Diagnose, service and repair PLC-driven conveyor and baggage systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Diagnose, Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain related controls equipment, components, and systems.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled and scheduled maintenance repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Complete daily work log and work order paperwork for tasks accomplished during shift.
- Provide concise, accurate, and sufficiently detailed data for input of all maintenance information.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, golf carts, and company vehicles.
- Work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
- Comply with company safety program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
