About The Position
Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC) for the 2nd Shift at our Syracuse, New York facility. This position operates during core hours from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and the hourly rate for this role is $32.07. The salary is a general guideline and may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. In this role, you will be responsible for tearing down machinery to determine the extent of troubles, repairing damaged electrical or mechanical mechanisms, or replacing worn or defective parts. You will reassemble the machinery following standard and prescribed safety regulations. A basic understanding of PLC logic and machine programming (Mcode/Gcode) is essential, as you will need to adjust equipment to required specifications and check to ensure effective operation. You will also check the sequence of machine cycles, determine the type of machine malfunction, and make all necessary repairs by applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory. Your duties will include performing electrical test operations, working from complex schematic diagrams, manuals, and testing procedures, and troubleshooting defective printed circuit assembly boards. You will be expected to perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed and detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision. The role requires the use of judgment to comply with instructions or prescribed routines and to make decisions effectively.
