About The Position

The Maintenance Repair Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment, including pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, production machines, hand & power tools, and testing instruments. This role utilizes precision measuring instruments to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely. The technician installs functional and structural components in devices or equipment, performs preventative maintenance, and repairs electrical equipment as needed. Installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment. Performs emergency repairs as needed. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment. Installs new equipment; rebuild and/or modifies existing equipment. Diagnoses electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical problems and takes corrective action. Reads and interprets blueprints. Welds and fabricates as needed. Instructs machine operators on proper machine maintenance. Operates milling machines and lathes to produce needed repair parts and fixtures. Sets up special machines and tooling alongside machine operators.

Requirements

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and intermediate math skills including the ability to work with fractions and decimals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others or independently.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Technical school diploma in related field plus two (2) years of machine maintenance experience or four (4) years or more of machine maintenance or equivalent experience preferred.
