About The Position

The MRO Clerk is a vital link in our plant engineering and maintenance department. You will be responsible for managing the inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies required to keep our manufacturing equipment running efficiently. This role requires a blend of technical understanding, organized record-keeping, and initiative-taking procurement to ensure that our maintenance team has exactly what they need when they need it.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in an MRO, industrial storeroom, or maintenance administrative role.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read basic technical manuals or parts diagrams to identify correct components.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong experience with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook).
  • Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and administrative staff.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and remain active in a manufacturing environment for the duration of a shift.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate, organized, and high-functioning parts room. Conduct regular physical cycle counts and reconcile inventory levels within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Procurement & Sourcing: Identify and order mechanical and electrical components, such as bearings, sensors, and hardware. Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes, track lead times, and ensure competitive pricing.
  • Organization & 5S: Lead the physical layout and labeling of the maintenance shop and parts storage areas. Implement 5S standards to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.
  • Technical Assistance: Work closely with Maintenance Technicians and Engineers to identify specific parts for machinery (e.g., SCM, OMAL, or pneumatic systems) using equipment manuals and schematics.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, process packing slips, and stage parts for upcoming planned maintenance projects.
  • Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for external suppliers and service providers, ensuring timely deliveries and service. Resolving billing or shipping discrepancies. Coordinate vendor setup and maintain vendor documentation (Points of Contact, W-9, Certificates of Insurance, etc.)
