About The Position

The Rendering Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and performing a variety of maintenance duties related to production and facility equipment and systems. This includes overseeing the installation and repair of motors, pumps, drives, and other mechanical components, troubleshooting machine problems, and performing preventative maintenance tasks. The supervisor will also manage service and repair of refrigeration systems, lead maintenance technicians, and ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted with minimal disruption to production schedules. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
  • At least 4 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, industrial, PLC, and HVAC experience.
  • AAS degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Good math skills.
  • Well-organized with good attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperatively with others.
  • Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and performs diversified duties related to production and facility equipment/systems.
  • Installs replacement motors, pumps, drives, belts, filters, gears, chains, and valves on process equipment.
  • Troubleshoots pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic machine problems and makes necessary repairs.
  • Performs repairs to machines involving machine guarding, bolt replacement, and breakdowns due to mechanical wear.
  • Welds machine components.
  • Performs preventative maintenance tasks on facility equipment.
  • Handles installations, including hooking up air, water, gas, and aligning and leveling equipment.
  • Responds to electrical emergencies and safely starts generation systems.
  • Maintains the WWPT facility to operate within safety parameters.
  • Resolves maintenance and mechanical problems promptly with minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Leads maintenance technicians in performing preventative maintenance and equipment installations.
  • Manages service and repair of refrigeration systems and equipment.
  • Manages outside contractors for repairs on failed machinery and equipment.
  • Inspects or tests damaged machine parts and advises on repair needs.
  • Completes maintenance record keeping and updates maintenance history logs.
  • Follows company GMPs policy and safety rules.
  • May work long hours and weekends as needed.
