About The Position

The job involves performing routine work assignments in disciplines such as Infrared Thermography, Vibration Analysis, and Tribology (oil analysis). Responsibilities include supporting and maintaining facility criticality assessment documentation, inspecting equipment during lubrication, and maintaining lube storage and handling room.

Requirements

  • Must have significant experience with and knowledge of machines and tools -- including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical lubrication, oil sampling, and/or contamination control.
  • Intermediate computer and mobile device skills required (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word).
  • Strong ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to a changing environment in a growing company.
  • Physical requirements/abilities of this position can include but are not limited to: the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance, moving objects in an industrial/office setting, standing, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and other repetitive physical motions.
  • Required use of office equipment can include but is not limited to: copier, shredder, scanner, phone, mouse, keyboard, computer, and multi-function printers.
  • Maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with a range of people.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with machinery or operation is highly preferred.
  • ICML Certifications or ability to acquire them required -- MLT 1 or MLT 2.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine work assignments in Infrared Thermography, Vibration Analysis, and Tribology (oil analysis).
  • Support and maintain facility criticality assessment documentation.
  • Inspect equipment during lubrication.
  • Inspect lubrication systems using check sheets; record and trend critical parameters like temperature, flow, level etc.
  • Maintain lube storage and handling room.
  • Properly dispose of used oil.
  • Prevent and clean oil spills and leaks.
  • Order lubricant as required to maintain optimal stock.
  • Maintain and install filters, breathers and other components.
  • Collect and send oil and grease samples for analysis as per schedule.
  • Analyze lubrication failures.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly lubrication consumption and stock.
  • Perform repair and any other work as required or directed.
  • Use lubrication software.
  • Be on call as required and be willing to work nights or days depending on equipment outages.
