About The Position

Seaboard Triumph Foods, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Reliability Supervisor in Sioux City, Iowa who will supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance personnel engaged in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting production machinery, systems, and equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field and four (4) years’ experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance engineering.
  • Required experience to include three years’ experience maintaining and improving corrective and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety files, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with USDA, production and management personnel.
  • Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn and effectively use any and all other computer programs that are or will be made available.
  • Must be proficient in MP2.
  • Must have experience with electrical systems, including PLC controls; hydraulic and pneumatic systems; welding/fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Will plan, assign, and prioritize work orders and schedules to meet production and operational requirements
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and technical development of maintenance staff to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Ensure all maintenance work follows OSHA and company safety procedures, including lock-out/tagout, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and repair costs
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues and recommend or assist in corrective actions
  • Review completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
  • Recommend process, equipment, and procedural improvements to enhance operational efficiency and equipment reliability
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve equipment issues promptly
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and parts inventory
  • Prepare reports related to work orders, reliability, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in safety audits and incident investigations
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance tasks and equipment handling
