The Sales Director Walgreens will lead the Customer relationships within the Drug channel for Walgreens and Rite Aid as well as develop critical Sales Strategy capabilities, including Channel strategy, Innovation planning and Broker management. This role will support and provide thought leadership among key cross-functional internal relationships, including Category Management, Trade Marketing, Sales Operations and Sales Forecasting. This position will report into the Vice President, Strategic Accounts.

  • Delivery of customer volume & value Targets as agreed during the annual business planning process
  • Delivery of Monthly Trade Spend targets as defined during Annual GTM / Broker strategy meetings
  • Responsible for management and development of Team Leaders and NAM's across Channel
  • Responsible for delivering the key Channel / Customer / Broker KPI's across all DSMP metrics
  • Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders and peers including: Trade Marketing, Category Management, Sales Operations, Sales Forecasting & Channel VP's/Directors
  • Define and implement Account targets for Sales and profitability growth across the Customer
  • Define and implement NAM targets for Sales and profitability growth across the Team
  • Monthly monitoring and reporting on critical KPIs, including Category and Trade ROI analytics
  • VP level engagement across key Customers / Brokers within the Channel including annual Top 2 Top meetings
  • Maintenance of accuracy across Channel level forecasting on a Monthly basis
  • Engagement and management of any Broker relationships at the most Senior stakeholder levels
  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA is preferred
  • At least 8 years experience in Customer Management, Merchandising, and/or Category Management experience, across N. America in a CPG setting
  • Multi-channel CPG experience preferred (C-store, Mass, Grocery, Dollar, e-Comm & Value)
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to outline and reinforce the Channel vision / strategy
  • Strategic and pro-active with interpersonal skills and an ability to influence at the most Senior stakeholder levels
  • Commercially astute with a strong business sense and excellent problem solving / analytical skills
  • Inspirational leadership and man-management style that promotes teamwork and nurtures top talent
