Maintenance Purchaser and Scheduler Department: Maintenance Status: Non-exempt Employee Classification: Regular Full-time Reports To: Maintenance Manager Supervisory Responsibilities: None Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm Job Summary: The Maintenance Purchaser and Scheduler will be responsible for preparing Work orders and Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules, preparing parts, printing Work Order’s (WO), ordering parts, prioritizing work around downtime and level of urgency. They will also be responsible for maintaining our consumable inventory as well as our critical spare inventory and act as liaison between maintenance and purchasing. This person will need to participate in performing PM’s and WO’s to be familiar with the workings of the factory and will be responsible for updating the PM list and adding new PMs for new equipment. This person should be familiar with a maintenance shop environment, associated parts and safe conduct. Essential Functions: Work safely and promote a safe work environment. Adhere to all company policies, GMPs, and SOPs.

Requirements

  • Proficient with computer applications including but not limited to Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Familiar with basic maintenance parts such as bearings, chain, sprockets, motors, gearboxes etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with coworkers, supervisors and department managers required.
  • Effective communication with vendors and contractors.
  • Ability to multitask and switch priorities with limited notice.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and Supervisor to schedule and develop routine and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Operate a forklift, boom lift, scissor lift and other material handling equipment (will train on site).
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years administrative experience.
  • Self-starter, ability to work alone.
  • Availability and willingness to work flexible job hours as needed.
  • Able to work cross departmentally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a production/manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Bilingual is a plus not required (English/Spanish).
  • Problem solving and diagnosis skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Some college coursework is preferred.

  • Responsible for creating, modifying and maintaining an accurate inventory control system
