About the position
The Maintenance Project Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating maintenance activities within a customer plant, ensuring the effective planning, organization, and execution of preventive maintenance tasks. This role involves leading a team of technicians, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining high levels of customer service while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability.
- Lead a team of skilled technicians in troubleshooting and minor repair activities.
- Utilize knowledge of PLCs, CAN Bus, and diagnostic tools to maintain automated equipment.
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Monitor and control costs through effective scheduling of resources.
- Attend customer production and planning meetings as required.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and advise customers accordingly.
- Respond to customer calls 24/7 for emergency equipment breakdowns.
- Ensure maintenance tasks are performed safely and responsibly.
- Conduct skills assessments and develop training for maintenance technicians.
- Act as the face of AIT in the customer plant, generating new business opportunities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of a two-year technical degree.
- CPMM Certification or trade school apprenticeship preferred.
- Team leadership and management experience preferred.
- Experience with CMMS (SAP, MAXIMO, e-Maintenance) for work order management.
