About The Position

As a Pool Technician I, you will be responsible for the daily cleanliness and maintenance of the resort’s pool facilities and public areas, ensuring a positive guest/owner experience through the use of the resort’s amenities. What will I be doing... Conducting pool maintenance and ensuring the cleanliness of pool and public areas to include: unclogging drains, plumbing, repairing pool equipment (pumps, heaters, filters and electrical switches), plumbing, painting and surface repair. Maintaining all tools and pool equipment to ensure all equipment is clean and in proper working order to include: ensuring the proper use and cleanliness of equipment and those tools are returned and secured in proper storage areas at the end of the shift. Communicate with supervisory team on needed supplies and tools. Monitor systems as necessary to include emergency systems and having general familiarization with fire sprinkler and emergency power systems. Read, log track and interpret readings from meters, gauges and other pool equipment measuring systems. Maintain a thorough daily log of pool maintenance activity and to ensure the proper information is communicated to the other pool technicians on the following shift. Ensure the safety and prevention of accidents in and around the pool areas for both Team Members and guest/owners and proactively correct any unsafe conditions. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Able to pass Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification within 180 days of hire
  • 1+ year of related experience
  • Able to work in various weather conditions
  • Able to bend, stoop, walk and lift up 50 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs with or without accommodation
  • Knowledge of pool chemical application and maintenance
  • Proficient English language communication skills in order to communicate both verbally and in writing with guests, owners and co-workers, and fully comprehend job assignments

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree/College Diploma
  • Valid CPO
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Prior experience in hospitality/timeshare industry
