The Spare Parts Storekeeper is responsible for managing the inventory of spare parts used in the production of steel wires and ropes. This includes receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking parts to ensure smooth maintenance and production operations. The role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of mechanical components used in wire and rope manufacturing.

Requirements

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components used in equipment.
Forklift certification (if applicable).
Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and data entry.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and maintenance management systems.
Problem-Solving: Ability to handle multiple tasks and resolve issues efficiently.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Maintenance Planning or a related fiel
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
Experience in storekeeping, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with inventory software and basic computer skills.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to lift and move heavy items.
Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and store incoming spare parts and materials specific to wire and rope production equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems.
Issue spare parts to maintenance and production teams as needed.
Monitor stock levels and reorder parts to prevent shortages.
Organize and label parts for easy identification and access.
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage or deterioration of parts.
Coordinate with suppliers and procurement for timely delivery of parts.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the spare parts storage area.
Comply with safety and environmental regulations.
