About The Position

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities within the plant. This role ensures effective maintenance planning to optimize equipment reliability and minimize downtime, while also managing resources, parts inventory, and maintenance records to support a safe and efficient operation.

Requirements

  • High School or GED (Required)
  • 1-3 years in maintenance planning, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment (Preferred)
  • 1-3 years with work order management and scheduling within a CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo) (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning principles, preventive maintenance, and reliability practices.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS software for work order management, planning, and scheduling.
  • Organizational and time management skills to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with maintenance and operations teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data management and reporting.
  • Ability to analyze maintenance data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and other plant systems for effective planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and manage schedules for all maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks, to ensure maximum equipment availability.
  • Review, prioritize, and manage maintenance work orders in the CMMS, assigning resources, estimating labor hours, and procuring necessary materials and tools.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels for maintenance parts and tools, coordinating with purchasing to ensure availability while controlling costs and reducing excess inventory. This may include responsibility for some purchasing activities to support the maintenance and operational needs effectively.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of preventive and predictive maintenance programs, analyzing data to identify and address recurring equipment issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and downtime analysis, and generate reports to support maintenance KPIs.
  • Ensure that maintenance tasks adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, conducting safety checks and assisting in risk assessments as needed.
