About The Position

The Maintenance & Facilities Planner I is an entry-level role that supports the planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance and facilities work in a manufacturing environment. This position focuses on managing work orders, maintaining CMMS accuracy, coordinating service requests, and supporting technicians to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or facilities-related associate degree preferred
0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, facilities, or operations
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

Assist with planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Prepare work orders with defined scope, labor estimates, materials, and safety requirements
Track work order progress and support daily and weekly maintenance scheduling
Enter, update, and close work orders accurately in the CMMS
Maintain preventive maintenance tasks, asset records, and documentation
Generate basic reports on PM compliance, backlog, and work status
Receive and track building and facilities service requests
Coordinate cleaning, utilities, and general building maintenance activities
Communicate status updates to internal customers and ensure timely closure of requests
Identify required materials and check availability for planned work
Assist with coordinating contractors and external service providers
Ensure work orders include appropriate safety procedures and permits
Follow company safety and lockout/tagout requirements
Support process improvements, shutdown planning, and facility projects as assigned
