About The Position

The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for compiling and organizing historical and current data on machine center downtime, parts replacement, and pertinent information for assessing maintenance needs. Will manage and be accountable for the work order system by prioritizing, scheduling, and organizing maintenance workload. Will also share a strong focus on both preventative and predictive maintenance. This function will help strategize machine upkeep to enable continuous process operation. This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Highly proficient typing and computer skills; Microsoft Suite programs – Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Attention to detail with solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and communicate opportunities and provide practical solutions in the manufacturing environment
  • Strong work ethic, sense of commitment, team-oriented, customer focused and willingness to embrace change that strives for continuous improvement while exemplifying the highest level of honesty and integrity
  • Superior organizational skills, plus the ability to initiate and handle multiple projects and deadlines, including the ability to work with multiple internal customers and team members from varied levels and functional backgrounds
  • Ability to learn to interpret drawings and schematics
  • Self-starter with the ability to accept or take on additional responsibility

Nice To Haves

  • CMMS experience preferred
  • Prior planning and scheduling experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Balance maintenance work with the needs of the operation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Manage and maintain data collection and input into the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) including the following:
  • Preventative maintenance scheduling
  • Work order entry and scheduling
  • Report creation and distribution
  • Attend team meetings to share and document maintenance information
  • Requisition parts and assist inventory tracking
  • Assist in developing cost estimates for major equipment repairs and modifications
  • Management may modify, add or reallocate job responsibilities to better accommodate the needs of the business
  • Play an integral part to planning and coordinating major projects and upgrades to machine centers.
