About The Position

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Maintenance Planner to support our soy processing facilities in Emmetsburg and Mason City, Iowa . This unique, multi-site role provides key leadership in warehouse management, spare-parts inventory, purchasing, and EAM administration. The Maintenance Planner will partner closely with Maintenance Superintendents/Supervisors and play an important role in promoting safety, organization, and team engagement.

Requirements

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance-related experience , including warehouse or inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and support employees.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to travel regularly between Emmetsburg and Mason City.
  • Rotational on-call availability required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse organization and maintain accurate control of spare parts inventory.
  • Serve as the primary purchasing agent for spare parts, components, and consumables.
  • Act as the EAM Administrator for both locations, including asset development and data accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain PM schedules for all facility assets, ensuring documentation includes vendor details, part numbers, manuals, blueprints, and maintenance procedures.
  • Support departmental safety initiatives and contribute to a positive, team-focused work environment.
  • Assist with financial controls related to maintenance activities, including tracking expenditures.
  • Create and manage shutdown work orders in EAM, ensuring accurate tracking of corrective actions, labor hours, and parts usage.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to resolve freight, invoicing, and system-related issues.
  • Identify and support opportunities to improve efficiency in maintenance processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
