About The Position

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager at our Fort Madison facility, local producers of Armour, Nalley, Van Camp’s, and Ranch Style, you will plan and schedule all plant maintenance activities including the coordination of preventive, planned, and un-planned maintenance. Analyze all planned change parts and make recommendations for Preventative Maintenance changes. Ensure functional standards are maintained between maintenance, accounting and production departments along with accountability of external vendors. Guide communication between the production, engineering, and maintenance departments. How Will You Affect Our Business? Ensure parts inventory is adequate to support production/drumbeat activity and at the lowest possible level. Lead Pre and Post Drumbeat meetings and all Drumbeat activities. Process and prioritize work orders, examine and determine best approach for work order completion Supervisor functions. (Weekend Rotation, Cover absences, ability to cover off shifts and ensuring standard work process adherence) Make equipment numbers, tasks and task numbers Add parts to tasks. (PM03 PM01). Verify accurate tagging in LEDS, PM02 notification, and BDAR Help with BDAR review. Requisition parts and materials for work order packages and non-stocked items. Identify projects for continuous improvement within the department and the plant, including reliability improvements Review work order backlog and rework to determine cause and provide improvement recommendations Reduce inventory through standardization – (excess inventory) Work with other planners on updating PM's (hour-based, functionality, recommended changes) This position will be responsible for providing direct oversight, administering discipline, and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures across their respective teams. Ability to cover supervisory roles during absences to include off shift and weekend coverage

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • SAP or CMMS experience
  • Previous planner experience
  • 1+ years' experience in maintenance role in a manufacturing environment
  • Food manufacturing experience

Nice To Haves

  • Background in Allen-Brady PLC work is preferred
  • CAD experience preferred
  • Preference will be given to local candidates.
