About The Position

Monogram Foods is seeking a motivated Maintenance Planner/Scheduler (MPS) to be a part of Monogram’s operation. This position, which reports to the Maintenance Manager, is responsible for the efficient and effective use of planning and scheduling resources that perform maintenance at the facility. The primary objective is to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In order to fulfill these responsibilities in the most effective manner, the MPS is empowered to manage work priorities, develop job plans, define parts and materials, define crafts and skills and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective, and efficient work control plan. In addition, the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler provides equipment-related expertise and technical guidance on improving Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of manufacturing maintenance, purchasing, inventory, or related experience required.
  • 3 or more years of experience with computerized maintenance management programs.
  • Mechanical/electrical background is necessary. An apprenticeship program or technical school background is desirable.
  • Have adequate craft knowledge and skill to accurately estimate labor hours, material requirements, and skills needed to complete a job. Must have a demonstrated ability to visualize and communicate the execution of work.
  • Solid organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and provide simple and accurate instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to read standard blueprints, and machine and process drawings. Has the ability to sketch or redline existing drawings.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system, planning and scheduling, and storeroom processes.
  • Can manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion.
  • Must have a reputation that is respected by production, maintenance labor, maintenance management, and store personnel.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual a plus- English/Spanish
  • Strong math skills and computer skills.
  • Must be able to work within temperature-controlled environments (Heat/Cold)
  • Walk on slippery wet surfaces
  • Climb small ladders or platforms
  • Use small hand tools for the assembly of equipment
  • Hand/eye coordination.
  • Handling (holding, grasping).
  • Seeing/depth perception.
  • Lift 60 lbs.
  • Push/pull 500 lbs.
  • Walk/stand 100% of the shift.
  • Employees must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for employment at Monogram Foods
  • This role will require extended hours based on production needs, including work to be performed after regular business hours and on weekends.
  • Safety shoes as needed.
