About The Position

The Maintenance Planner supports the functions of the Harvest maintenance group by developing job plans and work schedules. The Planner maintains the integrity of the CMMS database.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of safety procedures applicable to working equipment.
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze problems and carry out effective plans for repair.
  • Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Formulate work plans to insure all material and tools necessary for job completion are procured.
  • Balance workloads according to manpower and equipment availability.
  • Contributes to the development of training materials and operation procedures.
  • Develop and update worksheets, inspection logs, records etc., as needed.
  • Create work orders for the manufacture of parts.
  • Create special reports on demand for management, i.e. equipment, cost centers, outstanding work orders, purchase order status reports etc.
  • Create work orders, preventive and corrective, for downtime, weekends, projects, one-shots and state required maintenance/monitoring.
  • Keep and update records of all equipment and operating locations.
  • Active member of PM pillar team
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Manager in the creation of work orders.
  • Verify lock out/tag out is attached to work orders where appropriate.
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing Department for the issuing of purchase orders to venders.
  • Coordinates and tracks tool room inventory charge outs and additions.
  • Develops equipment spare part requirements to ensure that adequate spare parts are on inventory.
