About The Position

Atlas Roofing Shingles and Underlayment is seeking a Maintenance
Planner for Clinton, IA.

Requirements

• 3-5 years as a mechanic/millwright preferred.
• 3+ years of maintenance planning experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (preferably pulp and paper).
• Working knowledge of CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, MP2, preferred E-Maint). 
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
• Solid understanding of maintenance practices including lubrication, vibration analysis, alignment, and condition monitoring.
• Effective communicator across departments and levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and industrial safety standards.
• Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed maintenance job plans for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation work based on OEM recommendations, best practices, and plant experience.
• Create, update, and manage work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Maintain and optimize PM (Preventive Maintenance) schedules for critical assets including the still yard (asphalt production), aggregate transport, Laminate & Accessory lines, and the utility systems.
• Order, track, and stage necessary parts, tools, and materials for each scheduled job.
• Collaborate with the storeroom/MRO to ensure spare parts availability and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain accurate equipment history and documentation in CMMS.
• Participate in root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Support compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in all maintenance planning activities.
• Maintain detailed maintenance metrics and reports to support continuous improvement.
• All other duties as assigned.
