About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Planner works with Maintenance Control and is responsible for scheduling, assigning and monitoring all planned maintenance on aircraft assigned.

Requirements

  • High Scholl graduate or equivalent.
  • A&P license preferred
  • One year experience in aircraft maintenance scheduling/planning or a relative field is preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in speech and writing, and intermediate level computer skills are a must.
  • Able to work all shifts.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment handling a high volume of multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail in making timely operational decisions.
  • Travel will be necessary.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and must be insurable under company insurance coverage.
  • Good typing skills are also required.
  • Team work and ability to jump in and help others or other departments is mandatory.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Military Aviation experience a plus.
  • Good knowledge of PC operations and software (Microsoft Office Suite) are helpful.
  • Experience with common Aircraft Maintenance Tracking programs preferred

Responsibilities

  • Forecasts and coordinates the scheduling of both short term and intermediate maintenance requirements on customer aircraft.
  • Develop and maintain Purchase Orders for MROs that perform scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor aircraft status and vendor operations to facilitate any operational irregularities while maintaining the integrity of the maintenance plan and established company performance objectives.
  • Monitor all MEL and Deferred Maintenance items coordinating with timely compliance with Maint Control.
  • Coordinate and communicate all “day of” operational changes affecting the maintenance plan.
  • Provide constant oversight to the short term maintenance plan advising the Quality Manager of any irregularities affecting the maintenance schedule.
  • Assist in Maintain Aircraft records as related to all Maintenance events.
  • Assist with maintenance release inspections to insure compliance with all scheduled maintenance activities and log entry accuracy.
  • Assist with maintenance vendor audits to insure compliance with company GMM.
  • Perform additional functions (essential or otherwise) as may be assigned from time to time.
