As the Maintenance Planner Supervisor at Georgetown University's Main Campus, you will oversee maintenance planning and management to reduce overall maintenance costs. Your role involves scheduling and supervising maintenance work for mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with safety standards. You will also be the subject matter expert for the CMMS system, responsible for tracking maintenance activities and generating reports for management.

  • Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance work related to mechanical and electrical equipment and piping systems.
  • Initiate immediate repairs resulting from forced outages and communicate status to plant management.
  • Coordinate activities of the mechanical maintenance department in compliance with labor agreements and personnel policies.
  • Assist in planning, developing, and scheduling major maintenance activities, including overhauls and capital upgrades.
  • Generate reports and present them to management regarding maintenance activities and KPIs.
  • Minimize spare parts stock by optimizing distribution and following spare parts rotation.
  • Support the O&M Team with outsourcing services and vendor management during execution.
  • Create yearly training schedules for maintenance personnel and ensure completion.
  • Approve maintenance activities within mechanical maintenance and coordinate with operations and contractors.
  • Manage the preventive maintenance program and ensure timely generation of PM work orders.
  • Coordinate inventory management to ensure accurate parts entry and checkout.
  • Participate in mandatory training and engage with stakeholders to maintain relationships.
  • Work with Capex and O&M teams to increase synergies and maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Review and evaluate the need for tools, parts, and materials for maintenance work.
  • Assist with utility systems outage coordination and document control management.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 years of experience in maintenance or construction.
  • 1-2 years of experience as an electrical or maintenance supervisor.
  • Thorough knowledge of plant systems and understanding of process diagrams and operating instructions.
  • Knowledge of installing mechanical and electrical equipment in generating and steam production stations.
  • Knowledge of maintenance requirements for boilers and chiller equipment.
  • Proficient in Lock-out/Tag-out Electronic Tag System (LOTO ETS) Program.
  • Strong understanding of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), specifically MAXIMO.
  • Experience with risk register coordination.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and take direction from others.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
